Are you an above average N900 user who ever wished for a better Application Manager? Your wish has been granted..! Faster Application Manager is here available for download from Extras-Devel. Make sure you wont get spoiled installing all the applications. :)

Category Filter : Even though the Nokia Application Manager has already taken care of this, most of the times I directly go inside the All option. In FAM All is the default condition and if you want to filter out by category just click on the C button and chose whatever category you need.

Sort By Option : I always wanted to sort by Date while searching for new applications, which is made possible in FAM. We can also Sort by Size.

App Description : Just click on any application caught on your eyes, a new screen will open up with the details about the app. Details include Category, Version, Repository (very useful for me) and most importantly a small description about the app. This is not It If you do not want to install it after reading the description, Just click No Operation and you will be back in the list. That is cool.

Package installation : As important as the above feature, FAM can wait till you select all the applications you want to install. This way you do not have to wait for each installation before browsing for the next. Thats really cool, I will be so spoiled. Most wonderful thing is for every install operation FAM will list out the packages going in and ask for confirmation. Now I do not have to wonder who installed those extra packages :).
